Job Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to maintain and support the company's hardware and software systems on an assigned network.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains and supports software systems, applying knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures to solve problems.
  • Maintains, updates or creates systems and reports, using front-end user-enhanced web tools within prescribed guidelines.
  • Designs and produces moderately complex reports.
  • Installs and tests programs.
  • Develops and tests user documentation.
  • Understanding of hardware systems, providing assistance and backup to Technical Support Solutions (hardware and network consultant).
  • Sets up and configures desktop computers and peripherals.
  • Identifies, investigates, and resolves users' problems with computer software and hardware, including phone systems, printers, copiers, PC's, laptops, postage machine and other equipment on the network.
  • Develops and maintains accurate equipment inventory, including reports of equipment and/or software malfunctions.
  • May perform routine security checks on the system.
  • Maintains knowledge of technology innovations and trends.
  • Project management for implementation of new systems, such as, EDI or barcoding.
Required Skills / Abilities:
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware and software
  • Thorough understanding of various computer operating systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SQL, SQL Server Reports Services (SSRS) or related software
  • Ability to become proficient in company ERP system and formulation/regulatory software and other related software as required
Education / Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science (or equivalent) preferred
  • At least two years' experience working with a variety of operating systems
