Job Title: CNC Lathe & Mill Operator
Location: Gates, NY
Summary:
Join a precision-focused manufacturing team as a CNC Lathe & Mill Operator, responsible for machining high-quality parts based on blueprints and engineering specs. You'll load materials, make tool adjustments, and perform inspections while collaborating with the team to meet production goals.
This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity perfect for individuals with CNC experience who want to grow with a company that values teamwork and craftsmanship.
Shifts Available:
• A Shift, Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• B Shift, Monday – Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM
Pay:
• $17.00 – $24.00 per hour, Based on Experience
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate CNC lathes and/or mills
• Load materials and select appropriate tooling based on job specs
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and job travelers
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Record production data and follow quality control standards
• Perform light preventative maintenance on equipment
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1 year of CNC lathe or mill operation experience preferred
• Familiarity with G-code and CNC machine software
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Comfortable using precision measuring instruments
• Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
