Come work with usAs Executive Vice President, Finance and Chief Accounting Officer, Michael McDonald is responsible for all of the Nesco Resource financial functions, including accounting, audit, treasury, corporate finance, due diligence, and a key member of the Company executive team. He also oversees and manages the staff and facilities at our Financial Service Center in Tampa, Florida. Michael’s career spans more than 30 years of varied national and international experience in financial management, business leadership, corporate strategy, and mergers and acquisitions for a variety of industries including: Manufacturing, Distribution, Service, Retail, and various Investments and joint ventures. Michael has over twenty years of C-Suite experience, including the last ten years as a senior financial executive with Nesco Inc.
Mary Beth Gunerra is a proven leader focused on driving organizational excellence. With over 20 years of experience, she commands an extensive background in strategic sales, best-in-class delivery, and developing highly effective, diverse teams.
Mary Beth graduated with her BA in Business Administration from the University of Mount Union where she was an OAC Tennis Champion, member of the Women’s Basketball team, President of the American Marketing Association, and model for Ford Agency. Her leadership experiences in college set the foundation for her future; affording her opportunities to lead diverse individuals, the importance of sacrifice and commitment to process, how to win and lose with grace and poise, and the value of self-awareness and time management.
After college, she spent the majority of her career at a leading medical device company, Medtronic. There she was a top performer who helped transform the organization’s sales and coaching culture resulting in double-digit growth, sustained success, and the advancement of women in leadership roles.
Her tenacity and positive energy brought her to Nesco Resource as President in 2020, where she is spearheading the organization through its next phase of growth. Nesco is an award-winning, national workforce solutions company that provides temporary staffing, contract work, direct hire, vendor-on-premise and managed services to a variety of clients across the United States.
Mary Beth resides in Chagrin Falls, Ohio with her husband of 16 years, Chad, and two amazing kids, CJ and Mila. As a family with two full-time working parents, she embraces the role of a co-provider for their family and strives daily to offer consistency, positivity, reason, and reliability. In her free time, Mary Beth enjoys spending time with her husband and kids, socializing with friends and family, coaching her kids in sports, and talking about fashion or fast cars.
Paul Harold has been the Chief Financial Officer of Nesco Resource for over 25 years. Paul oversees the financial operations and reporting for the organization.
Prior to joining Nesco Resource, Paul was the Controller of Bankers Financial Corp. Before that, Paul was Internal Audit Manager for a fortune 500 company, and prior to that his career with Ernst & Young, CPA’s.
Paul holds a BS in Accounting from University of South Florida and an MBA from University of Tampa.
Tom drives Nesco Resource’s strategy around keeping our associates and staff working safely and productively. Tom is also tasked with addressing all legal matters within Nesco Resource, which includes partnering with our clients to achieve mutually beneficial contract terms. Tom has served in these roles since 2016 and is supported by a highly effective team of Risk professionals and Injury counselors.
Tom graduated from Marquette University with a BA in History and completed his JD at Seattle University. Tom enjoys spending time with his family and volunteering in his community.
Chris Thunell has over 22 years of extensive leadership experience ranging across a wide spectrum of industries such as Healthcare, Insurance, Financial, Aerospace, and DoD. Chris’s focus from 2000-2014 had been building and optimizing high performing teams in the IT Services sector with one of the largest IT Service organizations in North America.
With a focus on building leaders from within and developing a culture of team oriented, capable, and highly accountable leaders; Chris has developed a successful career of growing market share and revenues. His experience of building and leading multiple operations has expanded across North America to include Cleveland, Toronto, and St. Louis.
In Chris’s first year in Cleveland, OH he led a rebuilding effort of the team and market which accounted for substantial YOY growth. While in Toronto Chris was asked to rebuild the team and capture market share across multiple industries. Over a 5 year period in St. Louis Chris led a team that was consistently in the top 10 organizationally and became the largest IT Staffing company in the St. Louis region 5 years in a row based on revenue and market share.
In 2014 Chris made a career decision to leave TEKsystems and start his own company, MACS Management. MACS is a Management and Leadership consulting organization focused on helping organizations with transformational change leadership/management and helping organizations gain operational efficiencies while preserving their culture. From 2014- 2020 Chris had been consulting with a Fortune 500 organization providing leadership coaching and management consulting.
Currently Chris is an Executive Vice President for Nesco Resource.
Chris has a strong passion for coaching and developing people. This passion is rooted in a long and successful athletic career in which he was exposed to some of the best leaders in the coaching field. Chris was able to transition this to the business world and develop a style of leadership that focuses on knowing what the TEAM needs to win.
Chris is married with four children. He is very active in his church, an avid outdoorsman, and active with athletics.
