JOB SUMMARY:
Assist and lead daily job activities in the refractory department under the supervision of the Production Supervisor.
The hours are dayshift 5:00a.m. to 3:30p.m. Monday through Friday. The pay is $20-$25 an hour.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under supervision, able to safely operate Cement Mixer
Able to hold tight tolerances according to blueprints.
Must participate in Insulation Installing, Layout and Trim Cutting Tin, Mounting of Signs, Caulking for finish work.
Assist team members regarding completion of job functions as directed by the departmental lead.
Read and interpret machining blueprints.
Maintain tooling and equipment.
Keep and Maintain 5S and keep a neat / organized shop.
Follow company guidelines for creating a safe work environment, have complete knowledge of company safety policies (EX: PROPER USE OF MACHINES AND HAND TOOLS AND THE PURPOSE OF SAFETY DEVICES
Work overtime/weekends as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERINCE:
High School Diploma or GED – minimum requirement.
Ability to work overtime/weekends as needed.
Ability to read and interpret machining blueprints.
Ability to read/interpret measuring devices (e.g. calipers, micrometers, measuring tape).
Ability to use numerous hand tools (POWERED AND MANUAL).
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to work well with others.
Quality minded.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment for this position does include exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels, moving mechanical parts, and working in confined space and elevated workspaces.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to stand 10 or more hours per day and operate a variety of hand tools both powered and manual.
Position requires standing or walking throughout the workday and frequently involves stooping and kneeling.
Must possess sufficient visual acuity and depth perception to complete job tasks.
Must be able to tolerate shop environment and exposures associated with confined space entry and industrial boiler manufacturing and apply appropriate safety equipment when required.
Must be able to lift/maneuver 75lbs. unassisted using proper safety techniques and/or equipment.
