Position Summary:
Under direct supervision, the Loan Services Specialist is responsible for executing processing, quality verification, and client support functions. The role involves timely handling of commercial monetary transactions, scheduled and ad hoc loan maintenance, and related research. The Specialist ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and service level agreements, while contributing to a high-performing team environment. Strong attention to detail, customer service, and adaptability are essential to succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Loan & Transaction Processing

Perform accurate and timely monetary transactions (e.g., Dollar Transaction Forms, Loan Funding Requests).

Post entries to general ledger via Automated Posting Application (APA) and Hogan systems.

Process DDA entries, issue cashier's checks, and send outgoing wires as needed.
-
Maintain and update client information in CLS (e.g., ticklers, payment reallocations, account maintenance).
Client Support & Inquiry Resolution

Respond to routine client inquiries via phone and written communication.
-
Research missing or misapplied payments and provide prompt resolution.
-
Produce customer payment history statements and communicate results effectively.
Operational Accuracy & Quality Control

Conduct timely reviews of daily reports to mitigate customer impact and ensure system accuracy.

Balance GL entries and collaborate with Accounting to resolve discrepancies.
-
Perform quarterly operational testing and ensure compliance with documented procedures.
Team Collaboration

Support teammates with daily workloads to meet deadlines and team goals.

Participate as an active contributor in a high-performance, customer-focused team.

Assist in staff development initiatives and cross-functional support as needed.
Additional Duties:

Administer defined procedures with clear instructions.

Maintain accurate filing, documentation, and records for loan servicing.

Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications:

Basic accounting or financial knowledge required.

Strong initiative, resilience, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to adapt to change in a dynamic work environment.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.

Proficiency in internal systems such as APA, Hogan, KeyView, and Quest is a plus.
