Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Drafter to join our technical team, responsible for producing accurate shop drawings and detailed technical documentation for custom building systems. This role requires advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with flexibility to use either based on project needs.
The ideal candidate will have experience in architectural drafting or technical design and possess a collaborative mindset, strong attention to detail, and an understanding of constructability. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, fabrication, manufacturing, and project management teams to deliver coordinated, buildable solutions that meet both aesthetic and structural requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Drafting & Modeling

Create detailed shop drawings using AutoCAD or Revit in accordance with project-specific guidelines.

Develop floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details aligned with internal standards and client expectations.

Interpret structural and architectural drawings to produce practical, code-compliant design solutions.

Assist in 2D and 3D layout development for attachment systems and rainscreen assemblies.
Material Take-Offs, Drawing Releases & Tagging

Conduct accurate material take-offs based on architectural layouts and system conditions.

Generate, manage, and track tag drawings and releases to align with project scope and timelines.

Verify releases for consistency in layout, quantity, and fabrication details.

Ensure completeness and accuracy of all documentation before release to support production planning.
Project Execution & Technical Coordination

Review project documents to validate scope and ensure design execution accuracy.

Collaborate with internal teams to address constructability challenges and align on technical solutions.

Implement redline corrections and maintain timely updates across all deliverables.

Coordinate drawing status and updates with relevant stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Standards & Quality Control

Adhere to established drafting standards in both AutoCAD and Revit environments.

Participate in quality checks and peer reviews to ensure documentation accuracy and clarity.

Help identify and resolve discrepancies before drawing release.

Perform quality assurance on peer-created drawings and take-offs.
Continuous Improvement & KPI Ownership

Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as accuracy, timeliness, and redline correction rates.

Proactively identify and resolve inefficiencies in drafting workflows.

Contribute ideas for improving templates, tools, and standard operating procedures.

Participate in departmental initiatives focused on quality and operational excellence.

Qualifications
Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Drafting, or a related technical discipline.

Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.

Ability to interpret architectural and structural documents, specifications, and contract drawings.

Experience in drafting or modeling for construction, engineering, or façade systems preferred.

Collaborative experience in a multi-disciplinary environment is a plus.
Technical Skills

Required: AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).

Preferred: Bluebeam Revu; experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, SketchUp, or SolidWorks is a bonus.
