Quality Technician
Shift: Monday through Thursday 6 AM-4:30 PM with a possibility of mandatory or voluntary overtime mostly on Fridays
Location: South Tucson
Terms: Temp to hire
Pay Rate: $20.00-$25.00
Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of experience in product inspection such as electronic, electromechanical, and/or mechanical production items.
Job Description:
- Inspect electronic components, sub-assemblies, assemblies, and equipment to ensure they meet applicable regulations and safety standards.
- Verify equipment and product meet the test requirements specified for the product.
- Assist in diagnosis, repair and calibration of test equipment or product
- Contributes to process issues by performing a root cause analysis. Supports implementation of short and long-term solutions to stabilize processes.
- Supports product identification, traceability, disposition, and handling of conforming and non-conforming product.
- Involvement and assistance in problem solving methodologies, such as 8Ds, Kaizen, A3, Ishikawa and 5Why's.
- Supports quality, operations, and manufacturing departments to drive actions that improve assembly quality and performance.
- Delivers direct input to PFMEA, control plan, process flow, work instructions development and/or improvement.
- Assists in the implementation and execution of PPAP Tools (APQP)
- Calibration record control and coordination
- Creation and update of manufacturing work instructions
- Document control
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- 2-5 years of experience in product inspection such as electronic, electromechanical, and/or mechanical production items.
- Experience in ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
- Basic experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
