Position Overview

We seek a seasoned Front-End Engineer to support the design, development, and deployment of scalable, high-performance web application features. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about clean, maintainable code and modern JavaScript development. You'll join a collaborative, cross-functional agile team and contribute across the full development lifecycle of a SaaS product platform.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (Master's preferred), or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 3 years of experience developing modern web interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX.
  • Strong hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, especially Vue.js; experience with application debugging and test automation tools.
  • Familiarity with the Google Closure JavaScript library.
  • Proficient in working with RESTful APIs, SOAP, and data formats like XML and JSON.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, API Gateway) and deploying cloud-based applications.
  • Deep understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities.
  • Comfortable working within a team using git for source control, including managing pull requests and resolving merge conflicts.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentorship capability with a passion for continuous learning.
  • Knowledge of UX design fundamentals and user-centric development practices.
  • Understanding secure coding practices, particularly in safeguarding Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
  • Industry experience in developing software for the financial or banking sector is highly desirable.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Write modular, well-tested code using Test-Driven Development (TDD) to maximize coverage at the unit, integration, and acceptance levels.
  • Oversee code from initial concept through deployment across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Take ownership in designing and delivering key software components and features.
  • Conduct peer code reviews to ensure quality and consistency in design and implementation.
  • Contribute to architectural discussions, offering suggestions for improvements and solutions.
  • Mentor junior team members, fostering skill growth and engineering excellence.
  • Engage in pair programming to promote collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
  • Collaborate with Product team members to refine user stories, contribute to effort estimation, and define acceptance criteria.
  • Help develop and enforce coding standards and best practices within the engineering team.
  • Participate in additional tasks and initiatives as required.
