CABINETRY MAKER

Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 6Am to 4:30PM
Pay: $DOE
Job summary:

  • Assemble wood cabinets from engineering drawings, utilizing a variety of different tools, and equipment
  • Participate in various operations of Cabinetry department including:
    • Prep/Paint
    • Quality Checks
    • Installation
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Installation, fabrication of cabinet components and hardware.
  • Understand and carry out verbal and written directions in English
  • Close attention to detail
  • Function with a minimal amount of supervision or no supervision.
  • Set work priorities to meet production goals as scheduled.
  • Assist in training cabinet makers at all skill levels.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
  • Meet minimum safety and 5S standards.
  • Meet all QA and QC standards for each task.
  • Be compliant with all the rules of conduct and attendance per the company handbook.
  • Maintains all satellite and storage containers in a closed position unless adding or removing waste.
  • Familiar with Hazardous Waste Communication Program.
  • Knows spill response procedures and evacuation routes.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications/Training:

  • Ability to comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and layout and other written or verbal instructions presented in English.
  • Ability to read and use linear and other measuring devices.
  • Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
  • Fundamental use of various pneumatic and power tools.
  • Ability to laminate cabinets & panels as needed.
  • Familiar with the safe operation of various tools: including but not limited to drills, screw gun, table saw, band saw and routers.
  • Ability to use basic mathematics.
  • Must have general knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards per individual JHAM.
  • Be trained in Hazardous Materials Handling Operations with an annual refresher course as required.
