CABINETRY MAKER
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6Am to 4:30PM
Pay: $DOE
Job summary:
- Assemble wood cabinets from engineering drawings, utilizing a variety of different tools, and equipment
- Participate in various operations of Cabinetry department including:
- Prep/Paint
- Quality Checks
- Installation
- Installation, fabrication of cabinet components and hardware.
- Understand and carry out verbal and written directions in English
- Close attention to detail
- Function with a minimal amount of supervision or no supervision.
- Set work priorities to meet production goals as scheduled.
- Assist in training cabinet makers at all skill levels.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
- Meet minimum safety and 5S standards.
- Meet all QA and QC standards for each task.
- Be compliant with all the rules of conduct and attendance per the company handbook.
- Maintains all satellite and storage containers in a closed position unless adding or removing waste.
- Familiar with Hazardous Waste Communication Program.
- Knows spill response procedures and evacuation routes.
- Other duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications/Training:
- Ability to comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and layout and other written or verbal instructions presented in English.
- Ability to read and use linear and other measuring devices.
- Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
- Fundamental use of various pneumatic and power tools.
- Ability to laminate cabinets & panels as needed.
- Familiar with the safe operation of various tools: including but not limited to drills, screw gun, table saw, band saw and routers.
- Ability to use basic mathematics.
- Must have general knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards per individual JHAM.
- Be trained in Hazardous Materials Handling Operations with an annual refresher course as required.
