Job Title: Quality Inspector (1st Shift)
Location: Westborough
Shift: 1st Shift 8am-4:30pm (Monday - Friday) Some flexibility
Job Summary:
The Quality Inspector is a key contributing member of the Quality team, coordinating and executing daily inspection activities from incoming through final, including inspection of product labels to support ongoing manufacturing for development and production. This position requires strong technical skills to support hands-on technical assembly and testing of products in development and early-stage manufacturing.
Responsibilities:

Provides inspection support for final, in-process, and incoming inspection of contract manufacturing materials.

Must be able to perform inspection processes including visual and dimensional inspection, review of manufacturing and supplier documentation, and tensile testing.

Inspect final documentation packages.

Conduct incoming inspection of raw material.

Perform in-process and final inspections as required, including product labeling inspection against specifications.

Scan and retain production travelers.

Work on continual improvement projects as assigned.

Assist with new process development inspections.

Manage the flow of finished goods into the stockroom.

Participate in hands-on technical assembly and testing of products in development and manufacturing.
Required Qualifications:

Ability to create job-related documentation for quality purposes.

Familiarity with ISO 13485 standards and 21 CFR 820 regulations.

Minimum 2 years of experience in a Quality Control role.

Minimum of 2 years of assembly experience, preferably in medical devices.

Experience with measurement equipment and microscope use.

Ability to read and interpret drawings, product specifications, and written instructions.

Requires working knowledge in the following areas:

Use of measurement vision systems such as Keyence, OGP, or similar.

Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:
-
Medical device manufacturing background preferred.

Familiarity with ISO and FDA compliance desirable.

Demonstrated technical writing skills.

Associate degree or equivalent experience.

Must be able to tolerate exposure to chemicals found in the engineering lab and manufacturing environments.
Physical Qualifications:
-
Standing and walking for short periods of time.
-
Ability to use a microscope, including manipulating small objects under a microscope.

Light factory work, with occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
