JOB PURPOSE/OVERVIEW :
  • This is a key role within the Plant City Factory.
  • The schedule is for a 2nd shift Hrs are from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm/Monday to Friday.
  • Payrate is $14.00 an hour.

The client handles dry tea extract primarily for beverage customers. As a member of their production team, you will be responsible for the manufacturing of food products. Operating a Spray Dry tower, or our liquid blending plant are core roles within our skilled operator section. We class this as light industrial work. As a Dryer Operator Trainee operator, you will be required to manage production process and read and fulfill recipe and quality adjustment tasks throughout your shift. You monitor the health of your equipment and react to deviations. Small fault corrections are part of this. Strip, clean, and replace equipment through existing operating procedures. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Comply with safe working practices.
Comply with food safety working practices.
Monitor product quality, provide regular samples, adjust processes to keep product quality within target
ranges, and raise concerns when required.
Operate and run equipment according to operating procedures.
Complete production and quality records accurately and timely.
Access elevated floors of the spray tower via elevator or stairs
Periodically lift and move up to 50 lb boxes/bags (lifting aids provided where environment allows)
Complete sanitation tasks per the schedule and operating instructions.
Work effectively and collaborative within a small production team.
When no management is on-site – responsible for raising issues with management, leading few members of staff.

Qualified candidates will have demonstrated the following.

Education & Professional
Qualifications
High School Diploma.
some experience is required within food/process manufacturing operations.

Knowledge / Experience/aptitude
Work in a small team
Flexible towards tasks and schedule during the shift, including covering for a supervisor or general operator.
Collaborate with colleagues.
Attentive to food safety
Eye for quality
Focus on safety.
