Stand-Up Forklift Operator - 2nd Shift

Nesco Resource is seeking an experienced Stand-Up Forklift Operator for our long-time food production client in Ferndale.

Shift: 2nd shift - 2pm -10:30pm, Monday - Friday - overtime mandatory as production demands

Pay: $18 per hour $.25 shift premium

Duties:

1. Retrieves supplies and materials by studying specifications; locating and verifying supplies and materials; secures pallet on truck; moves pallet to production location.
2. Maintains inventory in the production area by anticipating and tracking usage.
3. Monitors inventory by reporting discrepancies.
4. Clears production area by securing and moving finished pallets; moving empty pallets.
5. Documents actions by logging movement of supplies, materials, and finished goods.
6. Maintains safe work environment by watching out for foot traffic; following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
7. Keeps forklift operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
8. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
9. Accomplishes warehousing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Experience operating a stand-up forklift / hi-lo, prior certifications preferred
• Reliable attendance
• Previous manufacturing experience helpful but not required
• Safety-first mindset
• Quality focus
