The Mill Assistant supports daily mill operations by helping with material handling, machine support, and quality checks. This role ensures smooth production flow, safe work practices, and timely completion of production tasks.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist machine operators and mill technicians with daily production tasks

Load raw materials into machines and remove finished products

Perform basic quality checks to verify product meets specifications

Monitor machines for jams, defects, or irregularities and report issues immediately

Keep production areas clean, organized, and free of hazards

Move materials using pallet jacks or carts
-
Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies
-
Assist with basic machine setup, cleaning, and adjustments (as trained)

Document production counts, scrap, and material usage
Requirements:

Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred

Ability to lift 40–50 lbs as needed

Comfortable standing for an entire shift

Basic math and measurement skills

Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
