A major client of ours has a need for a Production Assembly Manager to lead their manufacturing assembly operations. Only candidates who are bilingual ,Spanish/English, will be considered for this position. This is an onsite role for their Melville, NY office.
Under the direction of the VP of Assembly and Supply Chain, the Manager is directly responsible for overseeing and organizing the equipment, staff, and processes on a production floor. They will oversee the Assembly Supervisors, scheduling and routine production activities as well as acting as first-line troubleshooting should problems arise.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates ability to set-up and maintain production lines that maximize labor efficiency and control material usage
- Prepares and leads line start-up and assign production line tasks to workers
- Successfully directs assembly workers and ensures that they understand their role in each job
- Demonstrates ability to identify and correct quality issues as they pertain to production and assembly operations and always maintains strong lines of communication with workers, peers and managers
- Ensures work areas are maintained in a clean, safe manner
- Can provide information on job status and scrap quantity daily
- Consistently proactive in approach to daily operations, resulting in accurate final assembly.
- Demonstrates ability to work in a team, as evidenced by assisting peers as necessary to ensure quality production and control
Pay: $85-$90k
