A large, rapidly growing biotech organization is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to join their team! This is a great opportunity to join an exciting, and robust company in the Albany area! This individual will be responsible for supporting the Planning process for Commercial and Clinical programs.

Summary: The Supply Panning department manages all necessary activities to plan, develop, and communicate production requirements to enable multiple groups make key decisions on cost, capacity, and timing to ensure patents need are met. The coordinator will liaise with internal and external groups to facilitate production planning and reporting to ensure product availability. Supply Planning coordinates delivery of products from the internal and external sites to ensure demand is met on time.

Location: Rensselaer, NY
Contract: 12 month contract
Pay: $24-26/hr.
Hours: M-F 8am-4:30pm

Education and Experience:

Requires bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Science background or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Maintains multiple data bases and programs to ensure an understanding of inventory levels, location, allocation, and to communicate inventory positions.
  • Drives batch impacting events towards closure to facilitate timely disposition of all relevant internal and external batches.
  • Works closely with a cross-functional team (i.e. Supply Operations team, DP Manufacturing, CMC-PM, Pack & Label, etc.) to receive and track incoming customer orders throughout implementation.
  • Manages PO / Order Tickets approvals and works with cross functional teams to resolve and potential supply gaps.
  • Monitors key milestones associated with the execution of the order and effectively identifies potential risks to the timeline.
  • Assesses potential issues against specific orders and cross-functionally coordinates mitigation plans to maintain original timeline or reduce delay and impact.
  • Ensures effective, accurate and timely communication between internal functional areas of order status, potential constraints, and mitigation plans.
  • Reports risks and follows proper escalation path as necessary.
  • Acts as a focal point for customers in identifying lot level specific details
  • Establishes and manages key business intelligence reports to communicate inventory positions and required production.
  • Enables continuous assessment for cross-site alignment. Understands any mis-alignment, conducts any necessary gap analysis and drives relevant actions to remove gaps.

  • Supports other duties as required by supervisor/department management.

  • Comfortable in ambiguous environment and ability to translate ambiguity into actionable steps.
  • Courage to ask the right questions in a cross-functional setting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Oracle, Power Point and Access Database.
  • Continuous improvement focus.
  • Lean/Continuous Improvement knowledge a plus.
  • APICS or other related purchasing certifications a plus.
