IT Administrator
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled IT Administrator to manage and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, focusing on setting up new employees with systems, emails, and hardware configurations. This role will also involve database management and enhancing the business's technical operations. The ideal candidate will have a mix of technical expertise, troubleshooting capabilities, and an ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Configure and set up new employees in all business systems, including computers, email accounts, and access to internal systems
- Automate and streamline manual data management tasks.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand current processes and provide IT solutions
- Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
- Stay updated on emerging trends in IT and data technologies to improve company operations
- Create, deploy, and maintain databases in development and production environments
- Implement database and data warehouse enhancements, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Conduct regular database maintenance (data loads, updates, patches, etc.)
- Document all system changes, problem resolutions, and maintenance activities
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and database management
- Experience with setting up hardware, software, and employee systems
- Ability to automate repetitive IT tasks
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to infer causes and implement solutions
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and interact with all levels of management
- Experience with change management principles and procedures
- Familiarity with compliance standards related to the company's operations
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in IT administration, database management, or a similar role required
- Hands-on experience with system setups and troubleshooting
- Strong office 365
Helpful Skills:
Firewall knowledge, anti-virus and cloud experience preferred, equipment and repair experience, SAS Applications is a plus. Able to do basic repairs, upgrades, installation, network setup, and more. Surveillance or Security exp helpful. LAN Admin support work very helpful. Need to be fast paced and have a since of urgency. They are a family-owned business and want the candidate to be personable and desire to help. Need to be willing to engage with others, be helpful. Self-starter individually motivated.
Not a programming job, no domaining required. Not looking for an IT development person, it is not that kind of IT.
