Job Summary
The Electronics Test Technician supports missile electronics production by performing functional, environmental, and troubleshooting tests on circuit card assemblies (CCAs), RF circuits, and electronic subassemblies. This role requires strong hands-on testing capability, component-level troubleshooting expertise, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-reliability aerospace manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities
- Set up, configure, and operate electronic test apparatus to perform functional and performance testing on CCA, RF circuits, and electronic subassemblies
- Conduct tests in accordance with established methods, procedures, specifications, and test sequences
- Assemble and Client out electronic units for production test based on engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Adjust, calibrate, and verify electronic test systems and fixtures to ensure accurate and repeatable results
- Troubleshoot failures to the component level on analog and digital circuitry using schematics and test data
- Correct malfunctions by adjusting assemblies or replacing components in accordance with approved procedures
- Select, recommend, and suggest modifications to test equipment and setups to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Analyze test results to evaluate product performance and identify trends or recurring issues
- Assist engineering in the development, validation, and improvement of test procedures for new or existing products
- Recommend product, test, or manufacturing modifications based on test findings
- Monitor and verify product quality using statistical process control (SPC) or other quality control methods
- Accurately document test results, maintenance actions, and corrective actions using Microsoft Office and internal data systems
- Support production schedules by maintaining high throughput while ensuring compliance with quality and reliability requirements
Required Technical Skills
- Component-level troubleshooting of solid-state, analog, and digital circuits
- Strong understanding of micro-circuitry and electronic components
- Proficiency using electronic test and measurement equipment, including:
- Digital Multimeters (DMMs)
- Oscilloscopes
- Network Analyzers
- Signal Generators
- Frequency Standards
- Experience testing electronic assemblies in a production or manufacturing environment
- Ability to interpret and troubleshoot using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience testing electronic assemblies
- Proficient in component-level troubleshooting of solid-state and digital circuits
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and electronic data collection systems to document test and maintenance activities
- Experience with Flying Probe and/or High-Power Test systems
Desired / Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Radar Systems
- Experience with Environmental Stress Screening (ESS), including:
- Vibration testing
- Thermal cycling testing
- Experience testing CCAs and electronic subassemblies in high-reliability or aerospace environments
Education / Typical Minimums
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Additional specialized technical training equivalent to a Technical or Engineering Associate degree, military electronics training, or demonstrated ability to perform para-engineering tasks
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in electronic test or troubleshooting

- Schedule-driven manufacturing support
- Cross-functional collaboration with test engineering and manufacturing engineering
Documentation & Tools
- Test logs, failure reports, and corrective action documentation
- Microsoft Excel, Word, and internal manufacturing databases
- Technical manuals, schematics, and engineering change documentation
