We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager / Business Analyst hybrid to support Business Intelligence (BI), reporting, and data visualization initiatives. This position is approximately 80% PM/20% BA, working closely with BI Engineers, Data Architects, and executive stakeholders. The ideal candidate has strong experience leading projects involving Power BI or similar reporting platforms, particularly those that require working with large datasets and delivering dashboards designed for executive-level decision makers. This role will initially focus on migrating reporting assets to Power BI, including the redesign and buildout of financial and operational dashboards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management (Primary Focus – 80%)
- Lead end-to-end delivery of BI and reporting projects, ensuring timelines, dependencies, and deliverables remain on track.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with project teams and business stakeholders.
- Identify risks, remove blockers, and escalate issues proactively to ensure successful execution.
- Coordinate across BI Developers, Data Engineers, QA Testers, and business partners.
- Gather, document, and refine business requirements for reporting and analytics.
- Translate business needs into actionable technical requirements.
- Support solutioning conversations with BI teams by understanding data models, data flows, and reporting structures (no hands-on development required).
- Validate data accuracy and completeness during testing cycles.
- Participate in UAT coordination and stakeholder sign-offs.
- Migration of financial and operational reporting from legacy systems into Power BI.
- Consolidation of dashboards and reporting structures across multiple business units.
- Reporting enhancements leveraging data from CRM, AMS, financial systems, and internal data warehouses.
- 3 years of project management experience, preferably supporting BI, reporting, or analytics initiatives.
- Strong understanding of Power BI reporting concepts, including dashboards, data models, and visualization best practices.
- Experience managing projects involving large datasets and high-visibility executive reporting.
- Background in Agile/Scrum project delivery.
- Strong business analysis skills with experience creating BRDs, functional specs, or technical requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Highly organized and self-sufficient able to manage multiple projects in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience supporting Power BI migration projects.
- Familiarity with financial reporting structures (GL, sub-ledger, budgeting/forecasting, etc.).
- High-level understanding of data modeling or SQL (not hands-on).
- Experience in coordinating UAT or QA processes.
- Exposure to enterprise data platforms or data governance concepts.
