Electrical Technician III

Your Impact This senior position on the Manufacturing team is responsible for wiring electrical systems, electronic components, and installing hardware for custom automated equipment. This role relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
What You'll Be Doing
- Serve as the lead Electrical Technician on projects, taking direction from the Manufacturing Manager
- Assemble and mount control panels and other electrical components under the guidance of a Senior Electrician
- Occasionally fulfill the lead role on projects, providing guidance to junior employees (assigning daily tasks, mentoring new hires, and participating in team updates)
- Wire control panels and automated machinery in accordance with customer requirements and external, company, and department standards
- Maintain inventory control and track usage of electrical components
- Update electrical drawings for changes made during wiring and debugging
- Perform control cabinet layout, wiring, and modifications
- Participate in equipment tear-down, shipment, and on-site installation at customer locations
- Verify purchased components are correct for the build
- Resolve issues through technical problem-solving and troubleshooting
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures
- Provide customer training when required and complete daily site reports
- Work collaboratively to maintain a positive and motivating team environment
- Communicate constructive ideas to keep manufacturing standards current and high-quality
- Report workmanship or design issues to the Manufacturing Manager
- Maintain a tidy and organized workspace
- Represent the company professionally during customer site installations
You'll Be Great At
- Certificate as an Industrial Electrician, Construction/Maintenance Electrician, or equivalent work experience
- 2 years wiring custom automated machines
- 2 years reading and interpreting drawings and solid models
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Thriving in a dynamic, ever-changing environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and multimeters
- 2 years using computers and related software
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team while maintaining a positive attitude
Level of Autonomy and Authority
- Take direction from the Lead Electrician and Manufacturing Manager
Key Requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and multimeters
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment with a positive attitude and consistent contribution
- Ability to travel internationally up to 10% of the time
- Ability to cross international borders (passport required)
