Job title: Press Setup/Operator
Location: Cleveland, OH
Shift: 1 st (Monday through Thursday 6 am to 430 pm) (Possible OT on Friday/Saturday as needed)
Salary: $20-$25 an hour based on experience
Responsibilities
- Setup and operate stamping press
- Set ups includes setting/adjusting lubrication systems, part eject and collection systems, adjustment of safety systems
- Ensures job cart contains required inspection equipment, gages and work instruction documents
- Uses precision measuring instruments (caliper, micrometer, plug gauges, dial indicator height gauge, etc) to ensure that parts meet customer specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness in and around press and work area.
- Load and unload raw material from stock reel or pan.
- Verify that material tags match the specifications required.
- Read and interpret part prints.
- Records production and quality information in accordance with operating procedures.
- Records set-up documentation for all jobs.
- Other duties may be assigned by supervisor as required.
Requirements
- Knowledge of basic stamping press setup and operations
- Use of QC measurement devices and gauges
- Defect Identification
- Production Documentation
- Blueprint Reading
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a preemployment screening
