Job Title: Quality Control Technician I
Location: Dracut,MA
Shift: 7-3:30PM M-F
Pay Rate: $20/hr
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician I to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting a variety of production and prototype components to ensure they meet both Dakota standards and customer expectations. This position plays a critical role in our quality control process, acting as the final gate for products entering or leaving the facility.
Key Responsibilities

Inspect production, R&D/prototype, sheet metal, and machined parts

Perform detailed visual, mechanical, dimensional, and functional inspections

Read and interpret GD&T standards and engineering drawings

Conduct receiving inspections, final product inspections, and failure analysis

Maintain and use calibrated tools and equipment appropriately

Create and manage non-conformance documentation within the ERP system

Communicate effectively with Quality, Production, Purchasing, and Engineering teams

Support ISO 9001 documentation and audits

Recommend improvements in inspection and process quality

Operate various inspection tools including microscopes, gauges, and Keyence systems
-
Ensure all nonconforming materials are rejected or corrected before leaving the facility

Follow all company safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
1 year of experience in a QC role within a manufacturing environment

Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 quality standards

Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and inventory control practices preferred

Strong math skills and attention to detail

Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems

Work Environment & Safety

Manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to:

Compressed gases, acetone, isopropyl alcohol (IPA)

Elevated noise levels
