Manufacturing Engineer – Aerospace
A well-established aerospace manufacturer is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support production activities and continuous improvement initiatives. This role focuses on developing robust manufacturing processes, supporting production teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality aerospace components. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem-solver with a passion for innovation and process optimization.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day operations on the production floor
  • Develop and maintain work instructions and tooling
  • Disposition non-conforming material and lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) efforts
  • Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements, quality standards, and delivery timelines
Key Functions:
  • Identify, develop, and implement manufacturing best practices
  • Evaluate and adopt new manufacturing technologies and processes to improve productivity, cost-efficiency, and quality
  • Develop machining and assembly processes for complex aerospace components
  • Represent manufacturing engineering on cross-functional project teams as needed

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a minimum of 6 years of relevant aerospace manufacturing experience
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Working knowledge of electrical assembly processes (e.g., soldering, harness assemblies, interpreting wiring diagrams)
  • Understanding of machining principles and inspection methods
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with Publisher, Visual ERP, CamWorks, and Cura is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in fixture design for production equipment
  • Familiarity with Client manufacturing practices
  • Certifications such as J-STD-001 and/or IPC/WHMA-A-620
  • Hands-on experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action processes
  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
  • Familiarity with FDM 3D printing technologies
