The successful candidate will join our User Infrastructure team as an Endpoint Infrastructure Engineer to assist with security vulnerabilities remediation, workstation infrastructure maintenance and support including obsolescence remediation. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the financial industry with an expert knowledge of core infrastructure technologies such as Microsoft PowerShell and VMware Power CLI (scripting), Microsoft Operating Systems, Virtualization Platforms (VMware, Horizon, and Citrix), and will possess excellent communication, and documentation skills.
Essential duties and responsibilities
 
 
Virtualization Infrastructure
  • Operational support and security remediation for the Citrix XenApp environment
  • Horizon VDI / VMware expert
  • Understanding of the Horizon imaging process
Workstation Infrastructure
  • Expert knowledge of Windows 10/11 Operating System.
  • Windows 10/11 workstation security remediation and patch management via MECM and other technologies
  • Software end of life remediation / security package deployment
  • Patch management, research and remediation for workstations, virtual desktops, and printers.
  • Development and deployment of Group Policy (GPO)
  • Automation of mundane tasks via Powershell, Excel - Power Query, Batch
  • Point of escalation for IT Support team (Customer Service)
Soft Skills
  • Work with various teams on trend analysis and coordinate, schedule, track, and remediate security issues
  • End of life software and hardware research and remediation
  • Work with IT audit to provide necessary audit evidence and documentation
  • Effective oral and written communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • The candidate should be a self-starter, be able to work with minimal supervision, properly and effectively communicate project/work status to management and peers
  • Take full ownership and responsibility of assigned tasks and see them through to completion
Technical Qualifications
  • 7 years of experience
  • Powershell / Power CLI scripting/automation
  • Expert knowledge of VMware / Horizon View
  • Expert knowledge of Windows 10/11 Operating System
  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or a related field
