Primary Duties
- Audit and report on products in hold areas; actively participate in related meetings.
- Engage in Return Material Authorization (RMA) and Incoming Inspection Processes.
- Assist Quality Engineers in handling Material Action Reports (MAR's).
- Support Quality Engineers with internal and external sorting activities.
- Help investigate internal and external quality issues, including root cause analysis.
- Support ongoing Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.
- Conduct internal Layered Process Audits (LPA) and ISO audits as assigned.
- Train new Quality Assurance Technicians (QATs) and provide backup support as needed.
- Review QAT inspection instructions, offering feedback and input as necessary.
- Perform other duties as directed by management.
Skills, Requirements, and Education
- High school diploma required.
- Minimum of one year of experience in Quality Assurance or equivalent role.
- Experience with drawings, technical gauging, and both statistical and non-statistical tools.
- Ability to assess product defects against aesthetic standards and determine acceptability.
- Proficient computer skills, including beginner-level Excel.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees and management at all levels.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, standing, and sitting, with or without accommodation.
