Job Title: Mandarin-English Interpreter

Position Summary
The Mandarin-English Interpreter will support cross-linguistic communication between Mandarin- and English-speaking staff at a manufacturing facility. This role ensures accurate and culturally appropriate interpretation, primarily on the plant floor during training, safety meetings, and technical discussions.
Key Responsibilities

Provide real-time verbal interpretation between Mandarin and English speakers on the manufacturing floor.

Facilitate clear communication during training sessions, safety briefings, and collaborative technical conversations.

Accurately convey meaning, tone, and context of spoken dialogue.

Maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information.

Adjust to varied communication environments and individual styles to support productive collaboration.
Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Chinese Studies, or related field preferred.

Professional interpreting certification is a plus.

Prior professional interpreting experience preferred.
Skills & Qualifications

Native or near-native fluency in Mandarin and English.

Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills in both languages.

Detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure.

Skilled at managing multiple assignments simultaneously.

Familiarity with interpretation tools/technology is preferred.

Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings/weekends.
