A well-established, growing and highly desirable organization in Tarrytown, NY is looking for a Global Procurement Specialist to assist their team!
The Global Procurement Specialist is accountable for supporting the global Lab Equipment and Services team strategy to meet global and regional business needs. The Specialist works closely with partners to facilitate discussions, aligning category priorities with procurement management and stakeholders. This person supports negotiations, supplier management activities, and partner engagement. Additionally, the Sourcing Specialist participates in organizational decisions within the team, while ensuring compliance with appropriate biotech guidelines and other applicable regulations, and leverages data to drive decision-making for projects.
Role Details:
- 6-month contract with potential to go permanent
- HYBRID! – 3 days in office
- $40-$48/hr
- Monday-Friday | 8:00am-5:00pm
- Supporting negotiations, supplier management activities, and partner engagement activities.
- Working collaboratively with teammates.
- Drafting contracts (regional/global), while working with internal legal department.
- Provide analysis of supplier spend in support of the Sourcing Manager category strategy.
- Bachelor's degree required!
- Minimum of 3 years experience in procurement.
- Pharma/biotech industry experience.
- Knowledge of sourcing contracting tools, ERPs, and sourcing software, as well as strong knowledge of MS Suite.
- Flexibility; ability to handle multiple projects.
- Strengths in relationship-building, with both partners and suppliers.
- Interest in a challenging environment; supporting both small and large projects with cross functional teams.
