Job Title: Chemical Operator

Location: Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio

Shifts Available:

  • 1st Shift Training Required: 7:00am - 3:30pm (Training on the 1st shift is mandatory before transitioning to other shifts)
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm (plus $1 shift differential)

Hourly Rate: $19.50/hr 

Position Summary:
We are seeking motivated and safety-conscious Chemical Operators to join our team in Cuyahoga Falls. As a Chemical Operator, you will be instrumental in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of machines and equipment used in chemical production. This role requires a keen attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to producing high-quality products that meet customer specifications. Please note that all candidates must train on the 1st shift prior to transitioning to other available shifts.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture and package products according to customer specifications.
  • Inspect and set up equipment before use; perform basic maintenance and adjustments as needed.
  • Operate chemical blending equipment with proficiency.
  • Follow detailed procedures to ensure the safe and efficient production of quality products.
  • Weigh raw materials and mix according to batch instructions.
  • Maintain accurate logs and production batch records.
  • Package finished products, including boxing and labeling.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, escalating when necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Education & Work Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience; experience in chemical manufacturing is preferred.
  • Willingness to undergo training as necessary.

Qualifications & Competency Requirements:

  • Ability to operate a forklift safely.
  • Capable of lifting and moving up to 55 lbs.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment operation.
  • Proficient in basic math and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain focus on details in a fast-paced environment.
