Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Leadperson for their Chassis / Harness Wiring dept. In this leadership role, you will oversee and manage the wiring process of various electrical systems within the chassis and harness assembly area, ensuring that all electrical components are assembled and installed according to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. You will lead a team of wirers, provide training, and ensure all processes meet production timelines and regulatory compliance.
In this role you will:
- Help move the group forward with process improvements, documentation, and cell layout ideas as we move into the new location.
- Direct, train, and mentor a team of chassis wirers, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
- Perform wiring and assembly of electrical components within chassis and harness enclosures, following technical drawings and schematics.
- Ensure all wiring assemblies meet quality and safety standards, including testing, troubleshooting, and modifying wiring configurations as necessary.
- Work closely with engineering, production, and quality control teams to ensure smooth workflow and compliance with specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of completed assemblies, wiring changes, and inventory used in production.
- Resolve any issues related to electrical wiring or component placement, coordinating repairs or modifications as needed.
You will bring with you:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical wiring, specifically with chassis and harness assembly. Previous experience in a leadership role is preferred but will consider candidates ready to take that next step.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and schematics. Knowledge of various wiring techniques, soldering, crimping, and cable management.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience in supervising and mentoring a team.
- High attention to detail, with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity.
