As a part of our forward-thinking team, you’ll play a key role in building advanced embedded systems that manage vehicle telematics, IoT data, and control subsystems. Role Overview:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment Duration: 1 year with potential for full-time conversion based on performance and budget.
- Location: Hybrid – 3 days onsite at the Global Technology Center (***, Wisconsin).
- Eligibility: U.S. Citizenship required.
- Travel: Not required but occasional opportunities may arise.
- Interview Process: Phone screen followed by onsite interview.
Your Impact:
- Design, implement, and test high-quality embedded C/C software for vehicle control subsystems.
- Develop and maintain software that interfaces with network messaging, sensors, and connected inputs/outputs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, peer review, and document software solutions.
- Create and execute test plans to ensure safety, reliability, and performance of systems in real-world and simulated environments.
- Follow established processes (e.g., CMMI Level 3) for software development and safety compliance.
- Manage multiple projects or parts of projects, ensuring cost-effective and reliable designs.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians to enhance the team’s technical capabilities.
- Evaluate designs for performance, safety, and reliability, preparing technical proposals, reports, and presentations as needed.
What You’ll Bring:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field with 3 years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Expertise in C with experience in Linux and multithreaded applications.
- Proficiency in IoT technologies, CAN protocols, and cellular communication (e.g., MQTT).
- Familiarity with additional tools and languages, including JavaScript, JSON, Python, and SQL databases.
- Strong skills in developing, maintaining, and documenting object-oriented software.
- Knowledge of network protocols, telematics systems, and embedded system safety standards.
