Welding Supervisor/Shop Supervisor

As a Welding Supervisor/Shop Supervisor, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing welding operations, managing a team of welders, and potentially expanding your responsibilities within our shop environment. Whether you're an experienced welding team lead or a seasoned shop supervisor, this role offers a chance to lead and contribute significantly to our success.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage our Weld Team consisting of 6 skilled welders (4 on A-Shift & 2 on B-Shift).
- Plan, schedule, and assign work tasks efficiently, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
- Develop, evaluate, and implement welding procedures to enhance productivity and quality.
- Conduct annual performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Monitor and maintain high standards of quality, performance, and efficiency.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members, fostering growth and development.
- Oversee project management tasks, ensuring timely completion and adherence to specifications.
- Manage inventory levels and procurement of welding consumables as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise with GTAW and GMAW welding processes, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Proven leadership experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of welding codes and standards, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and symbols.
- Proficiency in various welding processes and equipment, including robotic welding and spot welding (preferred).
- Trade school certification or college education in welding-related fields (preferred).
- CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certification is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range: $60,000 - $90,000 per year
- Generous PTO package: 80 hours in year 1, 120 hours in year 2
