Complete the verification protocol for instruments and standardize solutions according to documented procedures as well as the required records.
Complete routine sample analysis following documented methods and communicating with Operators and Supervisors about the quality of material.
Maintain chemical standards documentation and ensure re-certification is completed and documented as needed.
Troubleshooting and participate in root cause analysis.
Reporting atypical sample or equipment behavior to supervisor
Additional duties which a Laboratory Technician may carry out include routine chemical reactions or bench-scale tests of plant processes; sample collection in the plant; environmental monitoring; or plant analytical instrumentation maintenance/verification.
Utilizing equipment and data software programs
Monitor and interpret SPC charts and take appropriate action.
Optimize existing procedures through Measurement System Analysis or other means.
Conformance to ISO/RCMS requirements
Perform assigned duties as outlined by supervisor, management, or designee.
Ability to follow a 12-hour rotating shift schedule and overtime when require.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Good communication skills (oral and written)
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years working experience in a laboratory setting
Experience working in a QC/QA production lab environment supporting manufacturing and demonstrating skills outlined in principle responsibilities section, preferable in positions of increasing responsibility (ISO/RCMS)
Developed understanding of general chemistry and laboratory safety.
Developed understanding of math and statistics.
Developed computer skills using software packages such as Microsoft Office, LIMS, SAP
