Qualifications:

-Top 3-5 Preferred Skills: Refinery, Oil and Gas experience
-Minimum experience required: 6 months

Job Overview:
Conducts routine design assignments for the Engineering Department under limited supervision.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: (functions considered essential as defined by ADA)
Assists in developing CAD standards
Maintains drawings and drawing systems
Possess a good knowledge of industry standards
Performs design and drafting assignments related to the refineries
Monitors outside contractor drawing compliance

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion

EXPERIENCE:
0-3 years of job related experience is required.

EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, or an equivalent combination of education in a technical related field, is required.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Good judgment and decision-making skills. Intermediate knowledge of pipeline systems and ability to apply this knowledge. Good knowledge of electrical practices and instrumentation and instrument loop diagrams. Working knowledge of PLC and HMI (human machine interface) programming. Ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication, basic reading and writing skills, ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

PREFERRED SKILLS:
Some special training related to Drafting & Design is preferred.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
May be required to interface with contractors from time to time depending on the job requirements.

WORK CONDITIONS:
Office and field based. Petroleum refinery, warehouse/plant environment, out-of-doors environment, and driver based environments including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, rotating equipment, and working in confined spaces.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, lifting and/or carrying up to 25lbs, pushing and/or pulling 25lbs, climbing up to 200ft, ability to operate all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rates is essential, valid state driver's license and proof of insurance required, perceiving color differences, ability to wear personal protective equipment (beards not permitted), and strenuous physical actively.
