Nesco Resource is looking for experienced TOOL/DIE MAKERS for an established automotive manufacturers in Taylor, MI. These are 1st 2nd shift Direct Hire opportunities.
Pay Range: $25-35/hour, based on level of experience
Shifts:
- 1st shift runs 5am-1pm Monday thru Friday with occasional mandatory weekends
- 2nd shift runs 1pm-9pm, Monday through Friday with occasional mandatory weekends
Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in our manufacturing operations by bringing advanced skills and expertise to develop and maintain high-quality dies. This position requires a skilled professional who can take ownership of complex projects and helps drive process improvement and ensure the seamless operation of die production, maintenance, and repairs.
Job Duties:
- Lead fabrication process of intricate dies for various production processes
- Utilize advanced techniques, tools, and shop machinery to achieve precision, quality, and efficiency in die manufacturing
- Completing quality review of the fabrication, fit, and assembly of details
- Conducting die tryout phase and confirming that the parts meet required specification
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of existing dies, ensuring longevity and optimal performance
- Implement preventative maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and enhance productivity
- Establish and enforce strict quality control measures to ensure the highest standards are being met
- Conduct thorough inspections and testing throughout the build process to identify and address any deviations from specifications
- Work closely with the design and engineering teams to interpret design specifications, development of new die designs to meet evolving production needs and provide insights for die improvements
- Translate design specifications into actionable steps for die fabrication, including outside processes
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to die functionality
- Provide technical support to address challenges in die production and implement effective solutions
- Provide technical support to operations to address any problems with die functionality while in
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of die-making experience or equivalent, required
- Willingness or actively holds Crane and Hilo Certifications, required
- Working knowledge of industrial, mechanical regulations and safety standards
- Strong background in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic arms, and overall machine troubleshooting
