Senior Analyst – Accounts Receivable


Position Summary

The Senior Analyst – Accounts Receivable is a key member of the Finance team, contributing strong analytical expertise to support organizational growth and transformation initiatives.

This role is responsible for compiling and analyzing Accounts Receivable (A/R) reports and data, performing account reconciliations, supporting balance sheet accounting, and partnering effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. The Senior Analyst works collaboratively within the A/R team while also managing additional responsibilities as assigned.


Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze all open A/R balances to identify trends, issues, and resolution opportunities

  • Perform comparative analysis across multiple A/R reports, tracking variances and changes

  • Proactively research and maintain aged A/R balances, driving timely resolution

Month-End Close & Accounting Support

  • Participate in the month-end close process, including:

    • Aged A/R reporting and variance explanations

    • A/R adjustments

    • Account reconciliations

    • Preparation of journal entries

  • Support balance sheet accounting activities

  • Coordinate and manage Bad Debt reserves and write-offs

Process Improvement & Collaboration

  • Identify and implement enhancements to A/R policies, procedures, and systems

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal departments and external customers

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the A/R function

  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
    OR

  • 3–5 years of Accounts Receivable experience

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs required)

  • Experience with large ERP systems (PeopleSoft experience a plus)

  • BlackLine experience a plus
