Quality Engineer

Position Overview

We are looking for a Quality Engineer to support the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the quality management system at a precision machining facility in the Greater Cleveland area. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, leading root cause analysis efforts, and driving corrective action initiatives. The Quality Engineer will work closely with Engineering and production teams to develop control plans, implement SPC, and maintain product quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor the quality management system to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Support internal and external audit activities, including third-party certification audits
  • Process internal and customer nonconformance issues, leading root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) per customer requirements
  • Monitor statistical process control results and identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with Engineering to develop product and process control plans
  • Coordinate quality training and maintain associated documentation
  • Interface with internal departments and customers to resolve quality issues
  • Assist with data collection and analysis for management review

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field and/or equivalent experience in quality assurance
  • Strong knowledge of ISO and AS9100 quality management systems
  • Fluent in GD&T and ASME Y14.5
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and military specifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
