Overview
Client is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, and integrate Flight Management System (FMS) core software for next-generation avionics. You'll work with a cross-functional engineering team in a fast-paced environment delivering high-quality software aligned to technical and certification needs.
Core Responsibilities

Design and develop core FMS software architecture and applications

Integrate flight management software for new product development

Collaborate with engineering partners to define requirements and specifications

Build software solutions that meet performance, security, and scalability needs

Participate in code reviews and provide actionable feedback

Support testing and integration on lab/test benches

Apply modern software best practices and continuous improvement
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (STEM) from an accredited institution

8 years of Flight Management System (FMS) software development experience

Strong C and object-oriented programming skills

Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments

Strong software architecture and design skills
Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills or Experience

Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field

Embedded software development experience

Multi-core / multi-threaded development experience

OOAD (object-oriented analysis & design) knowledge

DO-178C software lifecycle experience

Software Verification & Validation (V&V) experience using C
