Nesco Resource is looking for a Shipping Clerk located in Bethel, CT. This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate.
Shift: Monday-Friday 7AM-4:30PM
Pay: $20-$22/hour depending on experience
Job Summary: The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing, packaging, and coordinating outgoing shipments to ensure accurate and on-time delivery. This role supports daily shipping operations, maintains documentation, and assists throughout the department as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and staging orders
- Load, unload, and move materials using a forklift
- Verify shipment accuracy and maintain shipping records and documentation
- Communicate with carriers and internal teams via email regarding schedules and shipment status
- Enter and update shipping information in computer systems
- Assist with general shipping department tasks, including packaging and material placement
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Prior shipping or warehouse experience preferred
- Forklift experience required
- Basic computer skills and data entry experience
- Professional email communication skills
- Ability to lift materials and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills
