Nesco Resource is in search of a Production Manager to work one of our clients based in Bristol, CT. Our client is a close-knit, family-owned company looking for a hands-on Production Manager. This role is a mix of production planning, problem-solving and team leadership —perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and takes pride in getting things done right. This position reports to the company President.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead daily production operations to ensure schedules, quality standards, and customer commitments are met.
- Plan and manage production schedules to maintain an efficient workflow and meet delivery timelines.
- Support, mentor and motivate the production team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Monitor production performance including efficiency, throughput, and job profitability.
- Champion organization and efficiency initiatives, including maintaining a strong 5S culture on the production floor.
- Work closely with company leadership to identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance to minimize downtime and keep production running smoothly.
- Ensure work is completed according to job orders, specifications, drawings and quality standards.
- 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including leadership within production operations.
- Ability to read and interpret job orders, process sheets, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with team members at all levels.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with manufacturing processes.
- Preferred: Degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent hands-on manufacturing leadership experience.

- Salary range: $80K - $100K
