A major client of ours in the financial industry has a need for a DevOps Developer I. This position is a W2 only contract role and it is hybrid with 3 days in the office in NY, NY.
The Global Markets Pre-Trade IT team is dedicated to delivering reliable and timely IT solutions for the Global Macro (Rates, FX), Equity/Securities Lending, and Credit businesses. This team is actively involved in all phases of application development, including user needs gathering, analysis, design, implementation, delivery, support, and maintenance, all within an agile framework.
We are seeking a motivated and talented Junior IT Developer to join either our Credit Markets or Risk Management teams. In this role, you will assist in the development and implementation of innovative solutions aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and driving business intelligence within our organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and develop applications that automate processes, improve data analytics, and support the overall objectives of the strategic plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior developers and business analysts to understand project requirements and translate them into functional technical specifications.
- Assist in the design, development, and deployment of AI-powered applications, particularly focused on credit market operations and reporting tools.
- Maintain and enhance existing applications by troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Engage in daily IT support for users, ensuring a seamless technological experience.
- Stay updated with advancements in AI technologies and generative AI trends relevant to financial services and credit markets.
Skills:
- Experience with AI and generative AI technologies (know-how in machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch is a plus).
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
- Basic understanding of database management and data manipulation (SQL proficiency is desirable).
- Knowledge of analytical tools and frameworks used in financial applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Capability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
