Job Position: Coiling Spring Set-Up position
A Coiling Spring Set-Up position involves setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC and mechanical machinery to produce custom springs, wire forms, and metal parts. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, reading blueprints/specs, and using precision measuring tools to maintain high-quality production standards.
Key Responsibilities for Spring Coiler Setup:
- Machine Set-Up: Preparing, adjusting, and operating automatic coiling machines to produce springs to customer specifications.
- Troubleshooting: Identifying and correcting machine malfunctions, inconsistencies, or defects during production.
- Quality Control: Using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Maintenance: Performing routine preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Process Improvement: Optimizing setups for efficiency and quality.
- Experience: Typically requires experience with mechanical or CNC coiling machinery.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
