Schedule: Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM (flexible to work 9am-5:30pm)

The Inventory Cycle Counter is responsible for performing regular cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure the accuracy of warehouse stock records. This role supports inventory control processes, identifies discrepancies, and helps maintain reliable inventory data critical to operations, production planning, and customer fulfillment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc cycle counts of inventory in the warehouse, ensuring count accuracy and completeness.

  • Use handheld scanners, tablets, or inventory software to record inventory counts and update inventory systems.

  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including root-cause analysis and documentation of findings.

  • Collaborate with warehouse and inventory control teams to reconcile count variances and adjust records as needed.

  • Support periodic full physical inventories and assist with year-end or audit counting processes.

  • Maintain count sheets, logs, and documentation according to company procedures and audit requirements.

  • Assist with inventory organization (labels, locations, bin tagging) to improve count efficiency and accuracy.

  • Communicate count results and discrepancies to supervisors and recommend corrective actions.

  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and properly labeled warehouse environment supporting inventory accuracy.

  • Adhere to safety standards and company policies during inventory activities.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience with inventory counting in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Comfortable using inventory systems and handheld scanning devices to capture data.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially when recording and reconciling data.

  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to analyze count variances.

  • Basic computer skills (Excel, inventory software) and ability to navigate digital tools.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to interact with multiple teams.

  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and maintain documentation discipline.

  • Ability to lift up to ~50 lbs and perform sustained walking/standing during count cycles.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in cycle counting, perpetual inventory control, or inventory audits.

  • Familiarity with barcode/RFID scanning and warehouse management systems (WMS).

  • Previous experience in quality control or data reconciliation preferred.
