Position Summary:
As a Warehouse Quality Inspection Associate at Vertiv, you will play an important role in supporting warehouse operations by ensuring materials, components, and finished products meet quality, specification, and dimensional standards before they are stored, processed, or shipped. This position emphasizes visual evaluation and precision measurement, helping maintain product integrity and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities

Perform detailed visual inspections of incoming, stored, and outgoing materials, identifying defects, damage, wear, or non-conformance.

Measure product dimensions using appropriate tools (e.g., calipers, rulers, gauges) to verify compliance with specifications and quality criteria.

Document inspection results clearly and accurately, including dimensional data, defect types, quantities, and any observations.

Maintain quality records, inspection logs, and test data using warehouse systems and quality software.

Report and escalate quality issues or discrepancies to supervisors, including recommendations for corrective actions or rework.

Collaborate with warehouse and production teams (shipping/receiving, inventory control) to ensure proper handling and compliance with quality standards.

Assist with inventory checks and verification of product labeling, packaging, and documentation.

Help maintain a clean, organized, and compliant inspection area in line with safety and quality procedures.

Support continuous improvement by providing feedback on recurring issues or potential process enhancements.
Required Skills & Experience

Experience performing visual inspections of products or materials, identifying surface defects, irregularities, and deviations from standards.

Experience using precision measurement tools (e.g., digital calipers, micrometers, height gauges, tape measures) to perform dimensional checks and verify tolerances.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially when recording measurement data and inspection observations.

Basic computer skills (data entry, warehouse management systems, quality tracking systems).

Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and established quality inspection protocols.

Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with operations and quality teams.

Warehouse or inspection experience preferred but not required; training can be provided for the right candidate.
Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in warehouse quality inspection, manufacturing, or related field.

Familiarity with quality standards and measurement techniques.

Knowledge of basic statistical concepts related to measurement and inspection.
