Summary of Position
The Learning & Development Specialist's primary responsibility is the design, coordination, and delivery of comprehensive training programs for recruiters. This includes focusing on technical skills (e.g., technology platforms, tools) and soft skills (e.g., communication, interviewing) essential to the recruitment process. The role supports both live and virtual training initiatives, ensuring recruiters are equipped with the skills and knowledge to excel in their roles. Administrative functions, including tracking training data and performance, will be secondary. The role upholds Nesco's mission of making the personnel process personal.

Essential Duties
  • Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions for recruiters, covering both technology tools (such as applicant tracking systems) and soft skills (e.g., communication, client management).
  • Develop and facilitate workshops, webinars, and on-the-job training to ensure recruiters are proficient in both operational and interpersonal skills.
  • Customize training modules to meet the specific needs of different recruiting teams, ensuring alignment with their goals.
  • Assess learning gaps and provide targeted interventions for recruiters in need of additional support or resources.
  • Coordinate logistics and planning for all training sessions, with an emphasis on smooth delivery and recruiter engagement.
  • Manage user and organizational profiles within the Learning Management System (LMS) to track recruiter training progress.
  • Organize and maintain training content, ensuring materials remain relevant and updated.
  • Pull and analyze recruiter performance data pre- and post-training to assess the impact of learning interventions.
  • Track recruiter training progress, ensuring timely completion and identifying opportunities for additional support.
  • Maintain effective communication with recruitment teams, ensuring they have access to necessary training resources.
  • Support administrative tasks such as managing the Nesco training inbox and providing technical assistance as needed.
  • Participate in larger Learning & Development initiatives, providing insights and contributing to team projects.

Qualifications
  • Must have recent recruiting experience in an agency environment. 
  • Strong experience in delivering training, particularly in a recruitment or staffing environment.
  • Deep understanding of recruitment processes, tools, and technologies (applicant tracking systems, job boards, etc.).
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of learners.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, particularly in coaching and mentoring recruiters.
  • Prior experience in administrative support or training coordination is preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and learning management systems (LMS) is essential.
  • Ability to assess training needs and tailor programs accordingly.
  • Experience in the staffing industry is a strong advantage.
  • Strong technical aptitude and eagerness to adopt new tools.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time.

Physical Demands
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Needs to occasionally move about the inside of the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Daily operates a computer and other office equipment such as a copy machine and computer printer. Occasionally positions self to move boxes or equipment weighing 25 pounds or less. Frequently communicates with fellow employees and phone callers. Must be able to perceive objects at a distance and up close.
