Maintenance Manager - Salem, NH

Summary
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Facilities Manager with an electrical license to lead our facility's maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial machine repair and HVAC. This individual will oversee and support a small maintenance team, ensuring all equipment and facility systems operate efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage day-to-day maintenance operations across the facility
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial production equipment
- Create and oversee preventive maintenance tasks and schedules
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues (electrical background preferred)
- Maintain and service HVAC systems (experience required)
- Ensure general building maintenance, including plumbing, lighting, and basic carpentry
- Supervise and mentor a small team of maintenance technicians
- Work closely with production and operations to minimize downtime
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using basic computer skills
- Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when necessary
- Promote and ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures
- OSHA compliance (1910 standards, recordkeeping, audits)
- Safety training programs & incident investigations
- Environmental compliance (waste, stormwater, air permits)
- Regulatory inspections & agency interface
- PPE programs, JHAs, lockout/tagout
- Contractor safety & permit oversight
- Emergency response planning
- Licensed Electrician
- 5 years of experience in industrial machine maintenance and repair
- HVAC knowledge and hands-on experience
- General building maintenance experience required
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a huge plus
- Basic computer skills (email, CMMS software, spreadsheets)
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible hours if needed, including occasional weekends or evenings
