Accounts Receivable Specialist
We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist I (Tier II) to support day-to-day accounts receivable operations on a contract, hourly basis. This role follows a standard daytime schedule and works under close supervision while handling moderately complex accounting and financial tasks.
Key Responsibilities

Review, code, and enter accounts receivable transactions into the financial system to ensure accurate sub-ledger and general ledger reporting

Respond to customer and internal inquiries via email, phone, and mail in accordance with department service standards

Research, reconcile, and analyze account data to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial policies

Prepare and provide reports to supervisory and senior AR staff to support data accuracy and SOX compliance

Verify the completeness and consistency of financial transactions to ensure internal controls are followed

Participate in monthly team and department meetings; assist with topic preparation or presentations as needed

Train new team members and cross-train existing staff on daily operational processes

Review and update departmental procedures, recommending improvements when appropriate
