Receiving-Shipping Clerk

Location: South Tucson
Terms: Temp to Hire
Salary/Rate: $16.00-$16.50
Requirements: Must be able to meet requirements for a non-smoking facility, flexibility to work overtime and/or weekends, high school diploma or equivalent, must be able to lift and move with 60 lbs

Ship and Receive materials to/from Customers/Suppliers while following all applicable procedures and best practices. Maintain the warehouse area and ensure that the finished goods and raw materials are handled and inventoried correctly, while practicing FIFO. Assist in the staging of materials for production Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse. Assist with the daily cycle counts and maintain accurate logs where required. Respond to priorities set forth by the Supply Chain Manager, Warehouse Supervisor and Customer Service Team. Maintain and update the past due and daily shipping logs to ensure meeting Customer commitments. Utilize the various systems to ensure accountability of transactions and movement of material.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process and input all receipts into AS400.
  • Run daily pick tickets and packing lists from AS400
  • Run daily shipping reports as set forth by Customer Service
  • Keep shipping and receiving dock free of debris and insure all product received are put away in accordance to standards set forth by the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Required to keep non-conforming product organized and neat until rework can be performed.
  • Stage materials for production use.
  • Awareness and compliance to ISO 14000 requirements per company policies and procedures.
  • Report any non-shippable product to Customer Service immediately.
  • Assure compliance with the shipping and paperwork regulations as required by each customer.
  • Perform periodic inventories of finished goods to correct any reporting errors.
  • Responsible for performing audits of finished goods to insure labeling has been done correctly.
  • Perform other duties as set forth by the Supply Chain Manager/Warehouse Supervisor.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
  • Training to procedures per MQ1 requirements
  • Orientation Training.

  • Access to Procedures on database.
  • QARs, GASs, Control Plans, Customer Specific Requirements, Samples and
photos.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Read, write, and understand English
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends
  • Good safety record
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to see and identify small defects
  • Must be computer literate
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with excellent math skills
  • Ability to lift and move with 60lbs.
