JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Shift
Leader and Production Supervisor/Manager, the Warehouse Associate ensures
safety is their #1 priority; they are responsible for a variety of warehouse duties
including packing, pulling/checking customer orders, replenishment, shipping
and receiving materials, and material handling and completing all required
paperwork in accordance to company policies and procedures.
Unloads
goods and material received, enters appropriate information into system, labels
and locates material.
Complies
with all safety policies and procedures.
Pulls
and stages orders. Repacks material if required to meet customer
specifications.
As
required, makes boxes, packs, labels and locates materials.
Ensures
all products are properly labeled.
May
perform functions/transactions in designated system to receive or ship
material.
Participates
in cycle counting. Enters and verifies information. Researches and makes
adjustments as necessary.
Reviews
preventative maintenance check sheets for forklifts. Ensures good working order
of machines.
May
be required to handle the accumulation, disposal and transportation of
hazardous waste. If required to do so, must participate in prerequisite
training in order to meet RCRA waste management requirements.
Drives forklifts, locomotives, track mobiles or other heavy duty
material movers.
Demonstrates team work in all
phases of operation.
Examines materials visually or
physically to ensure conformance with established standards.
Refers issues/problems to
lead/supervisor for disposition.
Completes and maintains all
required computer inputs. Responsible for data integrity.
Documents work completed as
required including logs, data reports, procedures, etc.
Participates in training,
retraining and continual improvement processes and methods.
Maintains departmental
housekeeping standards.
Supports the vision, mission
and guiding principles of the company.
Follows all rules, laws and
procedures related to HS&E, ISO and other regulations.
Other projects/duties as
assigned or needed.
Required Skill: Must be able to
read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English; read and comprehend
safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and
product recipes/materials.
Fed Ex/UPS and international prior
shipping experience preferred
Must have mathematical skill to
add, subtract, multiply and divide and to apply these skill to weights,
measures of volume and distance.
Must effectively
communicate in writing and verbally in English.
Competency in computer and PC
software including email, internet, and MS office.
Must have manual dexterity for
hand tools of various types.
Must be able to drive fork
lift.
Must have problem solving
skills and some mechanical aptitude.
Required Education & Experience:
US High School diploma, GED
equivalency or equivalent experience
Six (6) months to one (1) year
of industrial/manufacturing experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Depending
on the location of work, the employee may be exposed to a magnetic field
from a rare earth magnet.
While
performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to:
moving mechanical parts
fumes or airborne particles
noise level in the work environment
ranges from normal office noise levels to loud noise
Employees
are required to wear mandatory PPE(8 to 12hrs per shift)which include:
hearing protection when on production
floor
respirators required up to 8hrs per
shift
steel toe shoes/boots when on
production floor
specific gloves when performing
specific tasks
hard hat when on production floor
