Nesco Resource is looking for a Production Operator located in Brookfield, CT. This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate.
Shift: Monday-Friday 8 hour shifts (Can vary between 6-2PM or 10-6PM)
Pay: $25-$30/hour depending on experience
Position Summary: The Production Operator is responsible for operating manufacturing and filling equipment to produce, fill, and package products in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner. This role ensures that products are filled accurately, meet quality standards, and are handled in accordance with safety, regulatory, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production and filling equipment accurately and efficiently according to specifications and work instructions.
- Follow all safety procedures and promote a safe work environment by identifying and reporting hazards or incidents.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to the handling, labeling, and storage of materials.
- Perform routine quality checks, including verifying labels, quantities, and overall product quality.
- Monitor equipment and processes to identify abnormalities, malfunctions, or product issues and report or correct as needed.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly work area.
- Work closely with supervisors and team members to ensure efficient workflow and clear communication.
- Adapt to changing production priorities and schedules in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a manufacturing or production environment; filling or chemical processing experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
- Ability to operate production or filling equipment and follow technical instructions and procedures.
- Understanding of workplace safety practices and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Dependable, responsible, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and production demands.
