Assembly Technician
What You’ll Do
As an Assembly Technician, you’ll support the build of aerospace components by performing hands-on assembly and sub-assembly work. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys precision work, following detailed instructions, and working with hand tools in a manufacturing environment where quality and safety matter.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and install aerospace parts and subassemblies using hand tools such as drills, rivet guns, and screwdrivers
- Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings
- Position and align parts in jigs and fixtures, verifying tolerances with calipers, gauges, and micrometers
- Drill, ream, and countersink holes; install bolts, rivets, and fasteners per specifications
- Perform visual inspections to ensure completeness and quality
- Accurately record measurements and maintain production accountability
- Keep a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area
- Follow all manufacturing procedures, quality standards, and safety guidelines
- Maintain regular, reliable on-site attendance
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Vocational or technical training preferred
- At least 6 months of mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience preferred
- Comfortable reading shop prints and technical documentation
- Hands-on experience using precision measuring tools (calipers, mics, gauges)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions consistently
Physical & Work Environment
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 100 lbs with assistance or equipment
- Reaching, bending, climbing stairs or ladders as needed
- Frequent use of hands for assembly, inspection, and tool operation
- Manufacturing environment with noise, equipment, and PPE requirements
- This role is considered safety-sensitive
