Nesco Resource is looking for a Cable & Harness Inspector located in Brookfield, CT. This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate.
Shift: Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM (OT possible after training cycle)
Pay: $20-$22 Based on Experience
Job Summary: The Cable & Harness Inspector is responsible for performing first article, in-process, and final inspections of cable and harness assemblies to ensure products meet customer and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections of cable and harness assemblies
- Inspect products to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards
- Document and report non-conformances and inspection results
- Follow work instructions, travelers, and customer documentation
- Verify workmanship and accuracy throughout the inspection process
- Support production schedules through timely and accurate inspections
- Participate in quality audits and continuous improvement activities
- Identify process issues and recommend improvements
- Work with production and other departments to resolve quality or delivery issues
- Ensure inspection tools and equipment are properly maintained
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year experience inspecting cable and harness assemblies or three (3) years assembling cable and harnesses
- Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods and components
- Familiarity with IPC-A-620 standards (certification a plus)
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and customer specifications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify non-conformances
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stand, sit, and move throughout the day and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Ability to use hand tools, measuring devices, and inspection equipment, including magnification aids
